Founded in 2002 by director Shin-Yi Yang, the Boston Guzheng Ensemble is the premier guzheng ensemble in New England. Renowned for its innovative approach to Chinese music, the ensemble has captivated audiences with its unique blend of traditional and contemporary sounds.

With a mission to promote Chinese culture and music, the ensemble has performed at prestigious venues such as Symphony Hall and the Indian Hill Music Center. They have also participated in numerous community events, including TEDxBoston Adventures and the Boston Dragon Boat Festival.

The Boston Guzheng Ensemble has been honored with multiple awards, including Youth Poetry in Silk and Bamboo three times and the Fidelity Young Artists Competition at the Boston Pops Grand Prize Winner. In 2007, they released their debut CD, "New England East Wind."
